A Michael Pearce Donley concert mixes comedy with Christian faith, making it ideal for church gatherings or other family events.  The tongue is in the cheek, but the heart is on the sleeve - the funny stuff helps warm the audience to the gentle messages of hope and joy in Jesus Christ.

Some things to expect:

  1. A balding man at a piano
  2. A medley of 1970s artists singing Bible songs.  Like Barry Manilow as David the shepherd boy singing “I Write the Psalms.”
  3. A song that takes the idea of “Spelling Choruses” to a whole new level.
  4. A jazzy lament called “Going Bald,” followed by the real life story of losing hair the hard way through chemotherapy.
  5. Songs that celebrate life in Christ, acknowledge pain and suffering, and offer clear-eyed hope.
